[F] Anna's neighbour, Peg, identifies the body [E]
lets out a hollow kind of [B] sound.

[E] Homicide is [A] tying yellow ribbons [E]
around her silver [A] Airstream.
[E] Red cherries [A] slashing up the night [B]
cutting through that [A] cordoned crime [E] scene.
[A] There's been a [G] murder
in the trailer park [E] tonight.

[A] Murder tonight in the trailer [G] park.
[F] Pack your things, Ann Marie,
we're heading [E] west
we're gonna make a fresh start.
[A] I've been saving pennies,
been looking [G] forward to this day.
[F] No time for questions
are you coming [E] or are you gonna [B] stay? [E]

[E] Crosstown at the [A] Waterton [E]
George Evans is sitting tall and [A] tight,
[E] Buying drinks for all the [A] regulars
[B] bragging about how them [A] bones
danced for him [E] tonight.
[A] There's been a [G] murder
in the trailer park [E] tonight.

[A] Murder tonight in the trailer [G] park.
[F] Faceless man counting crumpled bills,
[E] hotel neon fights the dark.
[A] TV set in the corner, they're talking [G] murder
on the late-night news.
[F] He turns down the sound,
waits for the sports,
[E] he only wants to know,
[B] did I win or did I [E] lose.

[E] There's been a [A] murder
in the trailer [E] park tonight. [A]
[E] Murder [A] in the trailer [E] park.
